Description of unit
This unit provides an introduction to the concepts and practices of human resource management within the United Kingdom. The aim of the unit is to provide an understanding of the human resource management role and function within the key areas of resourcing, reward, development and relations.

- Investigate the traditional view of personnel management and the new approach of human resource management
- Evaluate the procedures and practices used for recruiting and selecting suitable employees
- Establish the effectiveness of principles and procedures for monitoring and rewarding the employee
