As the HNC Diploma in Hospitality Management is part of the Qualifications and Framework (QCF) it has transferable credits of a minimum of 120

After successful completion of the 8 units for the HNC, you can then complete the HND Diploma in Hospitality Management by completing another 8 units

Course Content

Entry Criteria

Students must be:

  • 18 years or over
  • English Language fluency to IELTS Level 5.5 (International students only)
  • A Level 3 qualification in Hospitality
  • OR 18 years or over, no qualifications, with a varied work experience (paid and/or unpaid)

 

Start Date

  • Every Monday, excluding UK Bank Holidays

Course Duration

  • Approximately 12 months

Course Assessment

Assignments are research project assignments, NOT academic assignments

Research project assignments are based on data and information published and available online and offline, therefore you will be expected to do research projects for these assignments, and NOT write academic assignments based on theory

You will be given guidance by your tutor

Students need to complete 6 assignments (no examinations)

  • Assignment 1 covers unit: The Contemporary Hospitality Industry
  • Assignment 2 covers unit: Finance in Hospitality
  • Assignment 3 covers unit: Customer Service in Hospitality and Research Project
  • Assignment 4 covers unit: Food and Beverage Operations Management
  • Assignment 5 covers unit: Room Divisions Management
  • Assignment 6 covers unit: Marketing in Hospitality and Sales Development and Merchandising

Tutor Support

  • Following registration, you will be allocated a UK-based tutor who will be available by telephone and Moodle Messaging to discuss your coursework and give advice and guidance on assignments

 

Course Delivery

 

The course is a self-study course. It is delivered via an online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) called Moodle

Students are given a timetable to follow, with assignment submission dates

Study materials consist of self-study online books that are available on our online VLE

Assignments are available via the online VLE and are submitted to your tutor via the online VLE

Tutors will mark your assignment and feedback via the VLE

Tutors are also available to guide and help you with the course via the VLE

All students can submit a draft assignment before the final assignment is submitted to your tutor for grading

 

Required Study Time

  • 4 to 6 weeks per unit
  • You will be given a timetable to follow
Fees & Funding

£1,625 GBP plus Edexcel Registration Fee £210.24

The course fees cover all study materials, personal tutor support and assessments

There are several ways you can pay for your fees.

Instalment Option

Note: There is a £100 admin charge if using this option

Deposit and Registration Fee: £325 deposit plus registration fee
Then instalments of £140 per month for 10 months payable on the 1st of each month after the start of the course

Loan Option

Loans available for UK students (subject to status) – minimum 10% deposit of complete fee then 0% APR over 6, 10 or 12 months.
