About the Course

The Edexcel BTEC Level 5 Award in Leadership is a UK nationally accredited and internationally recognised professional development programme. This online distance learning course is designed to provide a foundation of knowledge and understanding for those working, in any business sector, in team leader, supervisor, or management positions, or those who wish to learn more about this aspect of management.

The content is also suitable for Owner Managers and Consultants who wish to increase their knowledge of Leadership styles and approaches.

The Edexcel BTEC Level 5 Award in Leadership consists of two units.

Progression

Students wishing to gain higher level qualifications in this field can progress smoothly on to the Level 5 Certificate in Leadership. The course will gain you exemptions from the Edexcel BTEC Level 5 Certificate in Leadership for two of the units, leaving you only one unit to complete to gain the Certificate level course.

The Award in Leadership will also gain you exemptions for the Certificate and Diploma in Management and Leadership Level 5.

Entry Requirements

The student must:

  • be over 18 years of age
  • have at least six months work experience in Team Leading

Every Monday, except UK Bank Holidays.

Tutor Support

Following registration, you will be allocated a UK-based tutor, who will be available by telephone, fax, and email to discuss your coursework and give advice and guidance on assignments.

Course Delivery

The course is a self study course. It is delivered via a Online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) called Moodle. Please contact us if you require any further information.

Each Unit typically takes about 4 to 6 weeks.

Study Fees

£550 GBP, plus £87.60 GBP Edexcel Registration Fee. The course fees cover all study materials, personal tutor support and assessments.
