Description of unit

The main aim of this unit is to provide a general introduction to employee relations and to develop knowledge and understanding of the changes which have taken place over the years with respect to the employment relationship in the UK. The unit considers the nature of industrial conflict and the resolution of collective disputes. The processes of collective bargaining and negotiation are also explored.
