This prestigious UK accredited Chartered Quality Institute CQI Unit is designed to provide working professionals with an internationally recognised specialist award in Using Quality to Improve Business Performance, studied by online distance learning.

The content provides a sound foundation of knowledge and understanding of the contribution that the effective implementation and management of Quality can make to the performance of the organisation.

The content is also highly relevant to consultants and owner managers wishing to build a comprehensive knowledge of this aspect of Quality Management.

Entry Requirements

This award is suitable for mature students who:

  • Are over 23 years of age;
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' work experience;
  • Have a role with Quality responsibilities.

Start Date

Every Monday except on UK Bank Holidays.

Duration

We estimate that this course should take between 2 and 3 months to complete.

Content

1 (one) module:

Using Quality to Improve Business Performance

  • The principles of Continuous Kaizen Improvement
  • Identifying and Prioritising areas of Improvement
  • Managing an Improvement Project
  • Quality Problem Solving

Assessment

Assessment is through the completion of a written Research Project, focused on Using Quality to Improve Business Performance.

Tutor Support

Following registration, you will be allocated a UK-based tutor, who will be available by telephone, fax, and email to discuss your coursework and give advice and guidance on assignments and-or examination revision.

Study Time

Course Materials: 25 hours

Background Reading: 1 hour average per week

Assignment: 20 hours

Important Information

CQI Student Registration

On enrolling with us to study the course, our Student Services team will provide you with the CQI Enrolment Form, which you will need to complete and return to us, for us to record and then send on to the CQI.

* enrolment forms can only be obtained from us, your Education Centre - they are not available directly from the CQI.

You will then be given 6 months free membership of the CQI, with the option of becoming a permanent member after that.

* Please note: although you must obtain the Enrolment Form from us, and return it to us, it is your responsibility to do this in order to register for membership of the CQI, as this must be done personally.

Student Membership and Examination Registration Fees

CQI Fees - for Student Membership and Examination Registration Fees - are not included in our Study Fees, and must be paid directly to the CQI by the student or their organisation.

When applying for Student Membership or registering for Examinations, please ensure that you nominate yourself or your organisation to be invoiced by the CQI for these fees.
