About the Course
The Award in Team Leading is an internationally recognised, introductory, first stage Team Leader - Management qualification that is designed to enable supervisors, team leaders, and junior managers to learn and perform their role more thoughtfully and more effectively.
Progression
As a Level 2 UK accredited National Framework Qualification, the Award in Team Leading is also the first step towards becoming a qualified professional manager, offering, with appropriate periods of work experience as a manager or specialist, a stepping stone on to the Level 3 Award in Management, and then a pathway on to the Level 5 Certificate and Diploma in Management Studies.

Entry Requirements
Access is open to all, but ideally the student should:
- be over 16 years of age
- have at least one year of work experience
- have a good standard of numeracy and literacy and general education.
Start Date
Every Monday, except UK Bank Holidays.
Duration
3 to 6 months.
Content
3 units.

Assessment
1 assignment for each unit.
Tutor Support
Following registration, you will be allocated a UK-based tutor, who will be available by telephone, fax, and email to discuss your coursework and give advice and guidance on assignments.
Study Time
Course Materials: Each unit 30 hours
Assignments: Each unit 5 hours
Background Reading: 30 minutes average per week
