About the Course

The Edexcel BTEC Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership is a UK accredited course which is internationally recognised. This is a Masters Level Course. The qualification provides a programme of study that has a strong emphasis on practical skills development alongside the development of knowledge and understanding in the management and business sectors.

The Edexcel BTEC Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership is particularly suitable for more mature learners who wish to follow a programme of study that is directly related to their work experience or to an aspect of employment that they wish to move into.

The Edexcel BTEC Level 7 Exetended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership is a qualification with a minimum of 120 credits. The course consists of 10 units.

Progression

As the Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) there is a clear progression route onto higher level courses. The Edexcel Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership qualification forms part of the most widely recognised management qualification, the MBA. The Extended Diploma has a credit value of 130 points, the MBA has a credit value of 180 points, you will require a top up of 50 credit points to gain an MBA.

On completion of the Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership, you can apply to direct entry with advanced standing to the Dissertation phase of the MBA awarded by the University of Wales Institute Cardiff. This can be studied via distance learning or full-time.

Students must:

  • be over 25 years of age
  • have at least three years of middle management experience

  • an Owner Manager wishing to develop and grow their organisation
  • a Consultant with corporate clients.

Tutor Support

Following registration, you will be allocated a UK-based tutor, who will be available by telephone, fax, and email to discuss your coursework and give advice and guidance on assignments.

Course Delivery

The course is a self study course. It is delivered via an online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) called Moodle. Please contact us if you require any further information.

Each Unit typically takes about 4 to 6 weeks.

Study Fees

£2010 GBP, plus £176.64 GBP Edexcel Registration Fee. The course fees cover all study materials, personal tutor support and assessments.
