About the Course

This prestigious UK accredited Chartered Quality Institute CQI Certificate is specially designed to provide students with an internationally recognised foundation qualification in Quality Management, studied by online distance learning.

The quality management training covered by the content makes this equally relevant to consultants and owner managers wishing to build a foundation of knowledge of quality assurance.

The content provides students with a sound foundation of knowledge and understanding of the principles and best practices needed to make a positive contribution to Quality activities in the workplace.

This award is at Level 3 on the UK Qualifications and Credit Framework.

Entry Requirements

The CQI stipulates no specific entry requirements, however, students must have a good standard of numeracy and literacy, as specific modules within the qualification require calculations and written essay work. GCSE Maths and English or equivalent is advisable. We acknowledge that some students may be new to quality activity and therefore will have little current experience to support their application.

Students that are already in a working environment involving quality will benefit from this qualification, as they will be able to immediately apply the knowledge and understanding of the theories and techniques in their workplace.

Start Date

Every Monday except on UK Bank Holidays.

Duration

We estimate that this course should take between 10 and 15 months to complete.

Assessment

Examinations

Examinations are held in London, in UK regional centres, and in British Council and Embassy offices.

Tutor Support

Following registration, you will be allocated a UK-based tutor, who will be available by telephone, fax, and email to discuss your coursework and give advice and guidance on assignments and examination revision.

Course Delivery

The course is a self study course. It is delivered via an online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) called Moodle. Please contact us if you require any further information.

Course Materials: Each module 30 hours

Background Reading: 1 hour average per week

Assignments: Each module 10 hours

Revision: Each module 15 hour

Important Information

CQI Student Registration

On enrolling with us to study the course, our Student Services team will provide you with the CQI Enrolment Form, which you will need to complete and return to us for us to record and then send on to the CQI.

* enrolment forms can only be obtained from us, your Education Centre - they are not available directly from the CQI.

You will then be given 6 months free membership of the CQI, with the option of becoming a permanent member after that.

* Please note: although you must obtain the Enrolment Form from us, and return it to us, it is your responsibility to do this in order to register for membership of the CQI, as this must be done personally.

CQI Examination Registration

On enrolling with us to study the course, our Student Services team will provide you with an electronic copy of the CQI Unit Entry Form (examinations and assignments), which you will need to complete and return to us, for us to record and then send on to the CQI.

When you are certain that you wish to sit an examination or submit an assignment you will need to complete a Unit Entry Form for each Module that you wish to sit, and send this to us, for us to record and then send on to the CQI.

Additional Unit Entry Forms can be obtained from our Student Services on request.

* Please note: although you must obtain the Unit Entry Form (examinations and assignments) from us, and return it to us, it is your responsibility to register for the CQI examinations and assignments, as this must be done personally.

Student Membership and Examination Registration Fees

CQI Fees - for Student Membership and Examination Registration Fees - are not included in our Study Fees.

When applying for Student Membership or registering for Examinations, please ensure that you nominate yourself or your organisation to be invoiced by the CQI for these fees, or BSBM Ltd, if you have paid the fees to us.

Examination Location Costs

Please note that any location fees charged by the Examination Centre, in the UK or Overseas, must be paid directly to that Examination Centre by the student or their organisation. Neither we, nor the CQI, are responsible for Examination Centre location fees.

Late Entry Fees

Please note we cannot be responsible if you are charged late entry examination fees. These are your responsibility and must be paid by you.

Late Cancellation Fees

Please note we will not be responsible for Withdrawal/Cancellation charges made by the CQI when a student withdraws from an examination after the deadline for withdrawals has passed. These are your responsibility and must be paid by you.
