In addition to places offered by many UK and international universities and business schools, on Masters level courses, CIMA has a special arrangement for graduates to join the fast-track distance learning MBA course at Deakin University, Australia.

CIMA operates a 'Flexible Entry' policy. For Certificate-level entry there are no minimum entry requirements, but a good standard of Maths and competence in the English language is required before starting the course. For Professional level entry please see Content below.

The Professional Qualification comprises 3 parts.
Entry requirement - CIMA Certificate In Business Accounting or other approved qualification(s) and/or experience (applications for exemptions must be made directly to CIMA).

P2. Management Accounting Decision Management
P4. Organisational Management & Information Systems
P5. Integrated Management
P7. Financial Accounting & Tax Principles
P8. Financial Analysis
Students successfully completing the Managerial Level papers will be awarded the CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting.

P3. Management Accounting Risk & Control Strategy
P6. Management Accounting Business Strategy
P9. Management Accounting Financial Strategy.
All 3 Strategic Level papers must be successfully completed before taking the TOPCIMA examination.
Test of Professional Competence in Management Accounting - case study examination.
One external examination for each paper.
External examinations are held at CIMA Examination Centres in London, UK Regional Centres, and British Council offices worldwide.
Examinations are in May and November. The pass mark for each examination is 50%. A maximum of 6 subjects can be taken per year.
Students must attain the Certificate in Business Accounting, or have approved exemptions, before starting the Professional Qualification. Students must pass all Managerial Level Examination Papers, or have an approved mix of passes and exemptions, before attempting the Strategic Level Papers. All 3 Strategic Level Papers must be taken at the first sitting. All 3 Strategic Level Papers must be completed successfully before sitting the TOPCIMA examination
Personal Studies: Estimated 6 to 10 hours per week.
The CIMA recommended minimum length of study for the complete course is 2 years 6 months. Our Admissions team and your Personal Tutor will advise on duration for sections of the qualification.
Following registration, you will be allocated a UK-based tutor, who will be available by telephone, fax, and email to discuss your coursework and give advice and guidance on assignments and examination revision.
