About the Course

The Edexcel BTEC Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership is a UK accredited course which is internationally recognised. It is designed to enable supervisors, team leaders, and junior managers to learn and perform their role more thoughtfully and more effectively.

It is also a suitable qualification for those wishing to change career or move into a particular area of employment following a career break.

The Edexcel BTEC Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership is a qualification with a minimum of 20 credits. The course consists of 3 units. If you have already completed the Edexcel BTEC Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership, you will gain exemptions for 2 units and will only be required to complete 1 unit.

Progression

As the Certificate in Management and Leadership is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) there is a clear progression route onto higher level course. It is the first step towards a Masters qualification, offering, with appropriate periods of work experience as a manager or specialist, a clear pathway on to the Edexcel BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership, the Edexcel BTEC Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership and then on to the MBA or other Masters.

Entry Requirements

Access is open to all, but ideally the student should:

  • be over 18 years of age
  • have at least one year of work experience.

Every Monday, except UK Bank Holidays.

Tutor Support

Following registration, you will be allocated a UK-based tutor, who will be available by telephone, fax, and email to discuss your coursework and give advice and guidance on assignments.

Course Delivery

The course is a self study course. It is delivered via an online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) called Moodle. Please contact us if you require any further information.

Each Unit typically takes about 4 to 6 weeks.

Study Fees

£450 GBP, plus £79.20 GBP Edexcel Registration Fee. The course fees cover all study materials, personal tutor support and assessments.
