HNC Business Online Distance Learning

About the HNC Business Online Distance Learning Course

The Higher National Certificate in Business (HNC) is at Level 4 in the UK Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

The HNC Diploma in Business is a foundation course in Business and Management. It is highly regarded by employers in all business sectors, and is also accepted as an entry qualification into Year 1 of a Bachelor degree at a UK, European or International university.

This qualification has 8 Units. It contains the essential business subjects, which gives you a solid foundation of business skills and knowledge. The HNC also provides a qualification that will improve your career prospects and earning potential.

HNC holders can 'top up' to an HND by completing 8 further Units.

  • Applicants must be over 17 years of age
  • Good School Grades - 55% +
  • English language fluency to IELTS Level 5.5.

Assessment

Students need to complete 1 assignment per unit.

Study Timetable

Each Unit typically takes about 4 to 6 weeks. The complete course should take 12 months.

Tutor Support

Following registration, students will be allocated a UK-based tutor who will be available by telephone and Moodle Messaging (email via the Virtual Learning Environment) to discuss course work and give advice and guidance on assignments.

Course Delivery

The course is a self study course. It is delivered via a Online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) called Moodle.

All course materials are available online.

Study fees

£1,480 GBP, plus a £186.12 GBP Edexcel Registration Fee. These course fees cover all study materials, personal tutor support and assessments.
