Diploma in Project Management ~ Level 4 ~ Online Distance Learning

The Level 4 Diploma in Project Management is a UK accredited internationally recognised programme that is designed to enable managers of single and multiple workplace projects to perform their role more thoughtfully and more effectively

The project management training covered by the content is also suitable for Owner Managers and Consultants who wish to increase their knowledge in this area

In addition, the design of the Level 4 Diploma means that the course also provides a sound basis for managers who wish to develop further and take higher level management and business programmes, such as the Level 6 Diploma in Projects Management, or a Postgraduate Diploma in Management, Marketing, or Quality

The Level 4 Diploma in Project Management is accredited by ASET, one of the leading UK National Accreditation Bodies.

ASET accreditation is recognised internationally and its qualifications are accepted by employers and higher education establishments throughout the world, and by professional associations such as the PMI and APM.

  • Have at least one year of work experience

The course comprises six (6) mandatory modules

Module 1: Personal Development Activities

Workplace Profile; Personal Development Journal

Module 2: Overview of Project Management

Project Management Best Practice; Definitions; Why Project Management is Essential;

The Demand for Project Management; Qualities and Competencies of a Project Manager

Module 3: Project Structures

Defining and Categorising Projects; The Life Cycle of the Project;

Overview of Prince Project Methodology; The Lean and Mean Approach

Module 4: Feasibility and Risk

Testing and Feasibility of the Project; Assessing and Managing Risk

Module 5: Managing People

Managing the Project Team Members; Managing Creativity and Conflict;

Internal and External Roles and Responsibilities; Managing Relationships      

Module 6: Managing Closure

Planning and Activating the Closure Point; A Project Closure Template

                                          

*    all six (6)  modules must be successfully completed to gain the award

Assessment Requirements

  • Module   1               Workplace Profile
  • Modules 2 to 6       One Research or Work-based Assignment
  • Personal Development Journal maintained throughout the course

Tutor Support

Following registration, our students will be allocated a UK based tutor who will be available by telephone, fax and email to discuss the course work and give advice and guidance on assignment.

Study Time

Module 1:                                                             10 hours * plus Personal Journal maintenance

Modules 2 to 6:                                                    35 hours per module

Personal Journal:                                               1 hour average per week

Background Reading & Research:                 2 hours average per week
